Glass in architecture is used as a building material. Glass in modern architecture had both functional and symbolic importance.
It is typically used as transparent glazing material in facades, as building envelope, and in roofs. Glass is also used for internal partitions and as an architectural feature. Architectural glass is often of a safety type, which include reinforced, toughened and laminated glasses.
