On 17 January 2019, during the BAU trade fair for architecture and building materials held in Munich from 14 to 19 January 2019, the architect Filippo Lodi from UNStudio and the researcher Alexander Wiethoff from LMU Munich, moderated by Mr. Moritz Behrens from Ingo Maurer Gmbh, will throw light on the role of light, digital media and emergent digital technologies in today’s built environment.
Filippo Lodi is a Senior Architect and Associate at UNStudio. He is an all-round architect specialized in parametric and product design. Beyond the production of design deliverables, Filippo is responsible for ensuring a high level of design quality in-line with UNStudio standards.
Alexander Wiethoff has more than 12 years’ professional consulting experience in UX development and delivery which has included work for fortune 500 clients, such as Intel, BMW, Bosch-Siemens Household Appliances, Samsung Mobile and Siemens Enterprise Networks among many others
New digital media such as animated light façades, façade projections or interactive light installations currently alter social dynamics and communications in urban space. Within this media architecture aims to merge built form and digital media to augment the existing architectural context with socially relevant information.
On the same occasion Moroso and Ingo Maurer will announce the first stage in a new partnership. The two brands have always had in common a strong sense of planning and design, aesthetics and a transverse approach to research which goes beyond the object itself to create products that have become furnishing and design archetypes in their own right. For the first time, these archetypes will be appearing side by side.
